Pathway Program

This is Jason writing and it's my first time on this blog so bear with me. I recently began a new chapter in my life, which is my goal to finish my education. It is a program called Pathway and it allows me to take classes online and attend a gathering once a week. After three semesters I am able to enroll into BYU-Idaho's online classes. I am very excited about this new adventure and am so grateful for the opportunity it affords me to finish my schooling virtually from home. My favorite part of this class has been the "Becoming Project" we do on a weekly basis. It gives me time to reflect on a lot of things that need improvement in my spiritual journey. For the project we were given the opportunity to choose an attribute to work on for the semester. I chose Faith. Faith is something that I think everyone has room to improve on and it is something that I wanted to really focus on developing. I have such a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but faith is what I believe changes our actions. If we have faith in our Savior and his plan for us, it is not difficult to us to choose him in our everyday actions. The fourth article of faith states: We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. My favorite example of faith in the scriptures is Nephi. When they were commanded to get the plates from Laban, all the odds were against them. Nephi had the faith that the lord would deliver Laban and would make a way for Nephi to accomplish his mission. I know that as I have Faith and grow closer to my Savior that my life will be enriched and that I will be able to handle all of lifes challenges knowing that he is by my side.
